“I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something.” - Helen Keller
Join us as we explore Athena leadership principle “Advocate Fiercely” with 2023 Athena Nominee, Kim Bowsher.
Kim Bowsher is the CEO of Roosters Hospitality Group and owner of two local businesses kbENT and Wildflower Outdoor. The common thread among her various work experiences is in fulfilling a desire to create things that help people feel connected to their community. She manages Wildflower Outdoor, a women’s cycling organization that caters to women of all skill levels and provides opportunities to learn and ride together. Her business kbENT Marketing and PR has traditional marketing clients including local businesses and nonprofits. Through kbENT, Kim also works in community development with projects including the GOAL Fitness Trail and the Eat Local Challenge where she toured local agriculture growers and producers in the area and put together a subscription style box and newsletter to get more local produce and foods into homes. “I dug into a lot of things that I wanted to exist and found similarly passionate people along the way - collaborations are what make it all happen.”
Kim has spent a lot of time digging into community issues and exploring leadership methods. She believes leadership most often exists without a title and that engaged community leadership is all about listening and learning.
